Thank you for volunteering your time to help support Crawley Ridge Infant School!
We will post induction materials and task-oriented information to this page and alert you to any updates by email.
As soon as you receive your DBS certificate, please register for the DBS Update Service and inform the school office that you have done so. This service is free of charge for all volunteers and provides a quick and easy route allowing us to check your DBS status following a gap in any volunteering service.
As part of your induction, please read the following documents, which are attached at the foot of the page:
- Keeping Children Safe Key Points
- KCSIE 2023 - Please read Part One & Annex B
- Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy September 2023
- Visitor leaflet September 2023
- Lanyard sign
Once you have had your briefing, please complete and submit the Safeguarding sign-off form. Thank you! We will also contact you to arrange a safeguarding briefing with Mr O'Shea.
Identifying other school visitors
Each time you visit during school hours, you will be required to sign in at the front desk and will be provided with a lanyard to wear. Please ensure that this is visible at all times and return it to the front desk when you sign out.
We use different lanyards to identify to staff and children those visitors who have been welcomed into our school. Please ensure that you are aware of what each represents - see the 'Lanyard sign' key posted at the foot of this page. We ask that you politely challenge any visitor on site who is not wearing a lanyard. A visitor wearing a red lanyard must always be accompanied around the school by a member of staff.
