Themed Days
Celebrating Learning Through Themed Days
World Book Day 2025
At Crawley Ridge Infant School, we believe learning should be exciting, meaningful, and memorable. Throughout the year, our children take part in a variety of themed days and celebrations that bring the curriculum to life. These special days give our pupils the chance to explore, create, and discover in fun and active ways, building confidence and curiosity while strengthening their love of learning.
Year 2 Castle Day Year 1 Space Day Year R Pirate Day
Some of our highlights include Space Day, Pirate Day, Castle Day, Outdoor Learning Day, Geography Day, World Book Day, Harvest Festival, Sports Day, and religious festival assemblies and activities. Each event links to our curriculum and supports the values at the heart of our school — being Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
Alongside these, we also offer an exciting programme of extra experiences on a three-year cycle, including visits and workshops from Miller's Ark Farm, the British Wildlife Foundation, and Circus Skills. This means every child has the chance to take part in these valued opportunities during their time at our school.
These experiences reflect our vision: to nurture confident, compassionate learners who respect themselves, others, and the environment. By offering creative and hands-on opportunities, we help children develop resilience, imagination, and a lifelong love for learning.
