Year 1 Space Day

One small step for man, one giant leap for Year 1 as a famous astronaut once said and it was with a giant bounce and a leap that Year 1 threw themselves into Space Day this week.

The children looked amazing in their incredible outfits, with rockets, planets, astronauts and scientists to name but a few of the characters we loved seeing in school. During the day the children wrote space acrostic poems, they made rockets and space craft, they created a range of different pieces of space inspired art and the highlight of the day was definitely making and eating their space biscuits. Theme days like these are really valuable to the children as it brings a new level of engagement and joy to their learning, so thank you for your ongoing support.
