Book of the week

Last week in the build-up to Easter and the start of spring, we had some new additions to our school community in Nursery in the form of our hatched ducklings! Inspired by these newest members of the school we have two book recommendations this week. For our older readers, the heart-warming A Duckling Called Button by Helen Peters - it is a longer read which tells the story of how Jasmine and Tom rescue an orphaned duckling. For our younger readers, you can't beat the classic tale of The Ugly Duckling - there are many different versions of it out there including this lovely DK edition illustrated by Guiseppe di Lernia.
