World Book Day 2026

What a wonderful week celebrating World Book Day! The children looked fantastic in their costumes – a huge thank you to everyone who made the effort, especially the amazing homemade outfits, which were very impressive. Throughout the day the children enjoyed a range of activities including: A whole school World Book Day assembly with Mrs Roberts Reading with children from the Junior School Painting book-themed rocks inspired by favourite stories and character. A book hunt and playground reading activities run by our School Council Teachers sharing their favourite books with the class This year is also the National Year of Reading, so it was especially lovely to see the children sharing their favourite books and characters. All children should have brought home a £1 World Book Day token, which can be used to choose one of the free World Book Day books available in bookshops, or used as £1 off any book or audiobook over £2.99. It’s a great excuse for a visit to your local bookshop
